Accountant
This role supports the monthly close process and assists with general ledger accounting, audit preparation, and ongoing accounting activities across month-end, quarter-end, and year-end cycles. It’s a key position on a fast-paced, growing finance team where attention to deadlines is critical. The role is responsible for ensuring financial statements are accurate, complete, and delivered on time, while maintaining proper documentation and supporting the development of accounting policies and procedures in line with GAAP. This position reports to the Director of Technical Accounting.Required Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.Strong MS Office and Excel skills.Ability to communicate clearly (written and verbal), manage multiple priorities, and work independently in a deadline-driven environment.Preferred Experience: Experience with accounting systems such as Financial Edge, SAP, or EpicorKey CompetenciesHands-on experience with month-end close and accounting operations.Strong background in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.Understanding of AP/AR processes and transaction workflows.Familiarity with accounting systems (Financial Edge, SAP preferred).Solid grasp of accounting principles and ability to apply them in practice.Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently.Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.This role is on a contract basis through Insight Global supporting a client local to Jacksonville, FL. The pay rate is $30-$35/ hour based on skillset and experience. Benefits (health, dental, vision, and 401k) are provided.
