Payroll Specialist

Job Description FULLY ONSITE IN MESA, AZPosition SummaryWe are seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage and process payroll for all employees while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with payroll systems, tax withholdings, and reporting. This position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while delivering exceptional service to employees.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule for all employees.Verify timekeeping records, deductions, and adjustments before each payroll cycle.Maintain employee payroll records, tax information, and benefit deductions.Reconcile payroll reports and resolve any discrepancies or errors promptly.Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, garnishments, and other deductions in compliance with regulations.Generate payroll-related reports for management and accounting departments.Assist with audits, year-end reporting, and W-2 processing.Stay updated on payroll laws, regulations, and system updates.Qualifications2-4 years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-state or mid-size organization.Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, or similar platforms.Intermediate Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables preferred).Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Associate or Bachelor&#39;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per yearSearch managed by: Megan ClarkBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
