Front Office Supervisor
Position SummaryThe Front Desk Supervisor will assist the Front Desk Manager in leading a team that creates a warm, inviting and memorable experience for our owner and guests. This position will directly oversee the front desk agents. This individual will assist in the hiring, training, development, evaluation, and supervision of all Front Desk personnel. Additional responsibilities include ongoing training, coaching and counseling.This individual will ensure the staff's commitment to maintaining service expectations through observation, communication and recognition. The Supervisor will serve as a role model, develop talent and provide staff support in handling complex situations. Other activities include folio research, posting, discrepancies and any related cash handling issues. The Supervisor will confer with other departments to coordinate and follow up on all guest information. Maintains a high and visible profile by being in the lobby during peak check-in hours.Must possess a sincere dedication to provide an unsurpassed level of owner and guest satisfactionMust demonstrate a commitment to the continuous development of his/her teamMust have a high degree of judgmentMust have demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skillsAble to acquire a clear understanding of timeshare ware applicationsBasic knowledge of hardware and peripheral devices required to perform the jobStrong problem solving skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteCapable of seeing a task through to completionStrong organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE• Minimum of one year of leadership experience in the Hospitality industry or a related industry.• Associate's Degree in hospitality or business management is a plus. Internal candidates may substitute equivalentexperience for educational requirement.• Bilingual a plusPHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee may be required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and operate office machinery. Must be able to lift up to thirty pounds. Specific work assignments may change without notice.WORKING CONDITIONSThe majority of work will be performed in a climate-controlled environment but may be exposed to inclement weather and varying degrees of temperature on occasion.
