Manufacturing & Engineering Manager

SkillSetGroup is seeking am experienced Engineering & Manufacturing Manager to work in Los Angeles' South Bay area. This position will be a hands-on position that is responsible for leading all engineering and production teams within an Aerospace environment. The chosen candidate must have a strong backgound in complex, multi-axis CNC Milling manufacturing with AS9100 compliance. Knowledge of engineering practices and CNC planning operations is a must! This position will be a DIRECT HIRE on first shift.Hours: 7AM-530PM, Mon-Fri (4-10 production)Key Responsibilities:Lead daily CNC operations (3, 4, 5-axis milling & mill-turn)Manage machinists, operators, and production staffDrive production scheduling, workflow, and resource allocationEnsure safety compliance (OSHA) and promote a safety-first cultureMaintain quality standards (GD&T, AS9100/ISO) and reduce scrap/reworkMonitor WIP, capacity, and delivery timelinesImprove cycle times, tooling efficiency, and overall costsReview prints/CAD models and develop machining processesSupport quoting (RFQs), NPI, and first article inspectionsImplement Lean / Six Sigma improvements and process optimizationQualifications5+ years of CNC machining + leadership experienceStrong background in multi-axis machining and process engineeringExperience with GD&T, tooling, and fixturingCAM software experience (Mastercam, NX, CATIA, etc.Proven ability to lead teams and improve shop performance
