Surgical Technician (Hiring Immediately)

Job Title: Surgical Technician Salary Range: Non-certified: $18.73 (Up to 1 year) - $24 (8+ years) Certified: $20.60 (Up to 1 year) - $27 (8+ years) Sign-On Bonus: Up to $10k Location: Pensacola, Florida Job Summary: The Surgical Technician will work collaboratively with the surgical team to provide care to the patient during surgical/invasive procedures. They will assist with the coordination of supplies, instrumentation, and equipment for the surgical procedure. The Surgical Technician will perform scrub duties for various surgical procedures/specialties following established department/hospital policies and procedures. They must be able to take call in compliance with hospital/department policy, and participate in the Quality Improvement process and adhere to standards of behavior. Education: Successful completion of Surgical Technologist program or commensurate experience. Skills/Abilities: The candidate must have knowledge of sterile technique. Organizational, critical thinking, multi-tasking, and communication skills, in a detail-oriented, customer-focused organization required. Ability to follow verbal instructions, read and comprehend written instructions required. Basic computer skills are required. Ability to transport non-controlled products/substances is required. Qualifications: At least 1 year of OR tech experience Does not need to be certified Additional Information: 12 OR suites, 1 is a dedicated Cysto suite M-F Typical shift is 8 or 10 hours. EVENINGS 3p-11p. Willing to do split shift 1-9p. Need 3-11 and 1-9p Looking for Surgical Techs with experience in all services except eyes or plastics Strong Ortho and Neuro experience is a plus On-call is 11 pm-7 am during the weekdays. Weekend call rotation which falls 1 weekend every 5th to 7th weekend depending on the number of techs. The goal is to have it covered by 4 techs, so 1 per week and every 4th 2 per week. Pay Range: $18.73 - $27.00 per hour
