We're a people-first company with an important mission: making millions of people's financial lives easier through innovative technology and exceptional partnership.The RoleYou'll be one of the technical problem-solvers behind Sharetec's core systems, diagnosing and resolving complex issues across our highly customized Progress ABL codebase, Progress databases, Linux servers, and supporting infrastructure.You'll dig into challenging problems, identify root causes, restore systems when issues arise, and own cases through resolution. You'll also collaborate closely with teammates, share your technical knowledge, and participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.If you enjoy untangling complex systems, solving problems others can't, and making existing technology work better, this could be a great fit.What You'll DoDiagnose and resolve complex issues within a legacy Progress ABL environmentBreak large, ambiguous technical problems into manageable pieces and identify root causeTroubleshoot issues involving applications, databases, Linux servers, and related infrastructureOwn technical cases from investigation through resolution, escalating when appropriateHelp restore systems during outages and other critical issuesPartner with teammates on difficult cases and share technical knowledgeParticipate in a routine after-hours on-call rotationContinue building expertise in Progress ABL, Progress databases, and Sharetec's technology environmentWhat We're Looking ForRequired:Experience working with legacy codebases and non-traditional program structuresExperience with Progress ABL, SQL, or a similar programming languageStrong technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skillsAbility to work through complex problems independently and take ownership through resolutionAbility to remain effective in fast-paced, high-pressure situationsStrong communication and collaboration skillsAssociate's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience/certificationNice to Have:Progress database administration experienceLinux server administration or performance troubleshootingC#, TypeScript, or AngularISO 8583 experienceFinancial services or fintech experiencePosition DetailsLocation: Remote from most U.S. states, or hybrid from our Fort Wayne, Indiana or Waco, Texas officesSalary: $85,000–$95,000, based on experience, plus bonusSchedule: Full-time, exempt; includes participation in an after-hours on-call rotationTravel: MinimalWhy SharetecSharetec is growing and investing in the technology that powers credit unions and their members.
