Ref: CR1136Role: Head of FP&APackage: €95,000 - €120,000 + BonusLocation: Remote/Hybrid across EuropeFinatal is partnered with a €70m ARR PE-backed Software Group seeking to hire a high-calibre Head of FP&A to lead the next evolution of its financial planning and analysis capability as the business prepares for its next phase of growth and an anticipated private equity exit within the next 24–36 months. This is a strategic finance partner who can elevate the quality, rigour and scalability of the finance function, acting as the custodian of investor-grade reporting, data integrity and exit readiness.Reporting to the Finance Director and partnering closely with the CFO, the successful candidate will become the sole dedicated FP&A resource within the business. They will own the development of an institutional-quality planning and reporting framework, improve visibility across the key drivers of value creation and help establish a best-in-class finance infrastructure capable of supporting future diligence and transaction processes.The ideal individual will combine strong SaaS and recurring revenue expertise with private equity experience, exceptional analytical capability, strong systems literacy and an ability to leverage automation and AI-enabled tools to drive efficiency within a lean finance organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesFP&A Leadership & Business PartneringOwn the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.Develop and maintain sophisticated driver-based financial models.Partner closely with the CFO, Finance Director and leadership team to support strategic decision-making.Deliver meaningful commercial insight that drives ARR growth, profitability and operational performance.Translate complex financial and operational data into actionable recommendations.SaaS Performance & Value CreationOwn reporting across key SaaS and recurring revenue metrics, including: ARR / NRR / GRR / Churn / CAC / CAC Payback / LTV / Rule of 40Develop deeper visibility into customer economics, cohort analysis and revenue quality.Support commercial decision-making through data-driven analysis and performance insights.Exit Readiness & Investor ReportingTake ownership of the company's investor-grade data book.Ensure continuous exit readiness across financial and operational reporting.Support future diligence, refinancing, fundraising and transaction processes.Maintain robust KPI governance and reporting consistency.Establish finance as a trusted source of information for management, investors and future buyers.Data, Systems & AutomationDevelop a scalable reporting infrastructure and single source of truth.Improve data quality, KPI governance and reporting automation.Leverage BI tools and reporting platforms to improve visibility and decision-making.Drive the adoption of AI-enabled workflows and automation initiatives.Reduce manual reporting effort and improve the efficiency of finance processes.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to simplify, automate and enhance existing processes.Implement best practices from leading SaaS and PE-backed businesses.Build a lean, highly scalable FP&A capability capable of supporting future growth without significant headcount expansion.Key Success TraitsPrivate Equity Mindset - Comfortable operating in a sponsor-backed environment with a strong focus on value creation, accountability and exit readiness.SaaS Commercial Acumen - Deep understanding of recurring revenue business models and the key metrics that drive growth, retention and enterprise value.Strategic Business Partner - Able to move beyond reporting and provide actionable recommendations that influence business performance and decision-making.Data & Systems Orientation – Highly data literate with strong experience across planning, reporting, BI and automation tools.
