Job Summary
The Inventory Clerk II is responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory, using various tools and functions, to the standards of the controls established by DC Management and external auditors. West Marine is a Drug-Free Workplace and an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Primary Responsibilities
Cycle Count Batch counting
Location Reconciling as a function and through reporting, including HOLD and RETURNS slots
Department Auditing, Including SOX Self Audits and Corrective Actions
Updating and maintaining the Coaching Logs
Pick Exception/Pick Creation Exception research
New Product Slotting, Re-slotting, and Special Projects
Sku Reconciling and Destroy in Field requests
Review orders driven to "Work" status
All research, filing and record keeping required
Ability to maintain 100% productivity and accuracy in all areas
Ability to operate other equipment (OP, Reach, Rabbit) - Certification Required
Ensure a safe and clean work environment for crew members and customers, adhering to all safety rules and standards.
Maintain the shop's stability and reputation by complying with all relevant legal requirements.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Skills:
Good verbal and written communication abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
Proven track record in sales and customer service, driving revenue and customer satisfaction.
Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail, ensuring efficient operations.
Strong time management skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Effective analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address challenges proactively.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and delegate appropriately when necessary.
Comfortable functioning in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software applications.
Good math skills

Position is routinely exposed to hot and cold temperatures during Summer and Winter months in the Distribution Center
