Bartender and Floor Manager

Position Overview We are hiring for a full-time position that includes 2–3 bartender shifts and 2–3 floor manager shifts per week. The ideal candidate for this position is someone with two plus years of hospitality experience who’s eager to grow, take on more responsibility, and learn the business side of restaurant management. The Floor Manager plays a key role in daily operations, working closely with the Owner and Managers to ensure an exceptional guest experience and smooth service flow. About Us Shoreline Café is a locally owned, beachside restaurant located directly on the sand in Santa Barbara. We’re focused entirely on this single, one-of-a-kind location — not on opening new locations or chasing corporate growth targets. Our owner is hands-on and involved in day-to-day operations, ensuring that decisions are made by people who know and care about the team, the guests, and the community we serve. Responsibilities Lead daily front-of-house operations to maintain a high level of hospitality and efficiency Supervise and support servers, bartenders, and hosts during shifts Help train and coach staff on service standards, menu knowledge, and guest engagement Monitor service quality and resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally Ensure compliance with food safety, ABC, and health department regulations Open and close the restaurant, managing cash handling and shift reports Collaborate with management on staffing, inventory, and process improvements Foster a positive, motivated, and respectful team culture Qualifications 2+ years of restaurant experience preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Hands-on, approachable management style Availability for weekends and holidays (especially during peak beach season) Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure A genuine passion for hospitality and teamwork Why Join Us Locally owned and operated — not a corporate chain Supportive, involved ownership team that values your ideas and initiative Work steps away from the beach in one of Santa Barbara’s most iconic spots Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for professional development and advancement Pay range and compensation · Pay is dependent on qualifications and experience · Management shifts start at $30.00/hour and depends on experience · Server or bartender shifts $16.50/hour + Tips.
