POSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and moving material throughout the factory, warehouse, stockroom, and general premises, and assists production operations and other staff as necessary. This includes safe material movement and accurate recordkeeping of all related transactions. Must be able to drive a forklift.FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Pulls/replenishes parts, raw materials, and other production-related items. Delivers to appropriate areas as requiredWraps/unwraps, re-packages material as necessary for storage or production needsLoad/unload packages and pallets from trucksProperly record transactions and mark/identify material/productDeliver necessary items from the receipt or manufacturing point to the final storage location, avoiding bottlenecks in movementSupport high emphasis on safe practicesCross-train and provide essential support for all warehouse and stockroom practicesRecommend improvements to gain efficiency in materials movement and storageOther Duties:Cleaning up debris and clutter in the warehouse, on the production floor, and surrounding premisesLifts/collects and appropriately handles loose or stray productMay help with forklift or stockroom duties as needed.Other duties as assignedResponsibilities/Measurements:Material handling caused shortages, damage, and root cause/corrective actionInventory accuracy in controlled warehouses and line locationsTurnaround time for parts received at the storage locationParts moved per material handling man-hourA/P match exceptions reconciliation ratiosRequirements:A positive attitude & pleasant personalityAbility to accurately work with inventory systems and tools, MS-OfficeEffective memory skillsDependability, familiarity with Inventory Systems, tools and practices, MS-Office tools, Procure-to-Pay a plusExperience with warehouse and materials flow in a fast-paced, highly customized factoryExperience in the management of an inbound freight department is preferredForklift trained by AlcomAbility to follow directions & a strong willingness to learnAbility to communicate issues verbally and in written formAbove average concentration/intensityAbove average memory, taking into consideration the amount of responsibility and product valueAbove-average time pressure of decision-makingNormal verbal, non-verbal, and written communicationHigh school level general math skills, (High School Diploma or higher education preferred) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Ability to write reports and business correspondence professionally.Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from managers, dealers, customers, and the general public.Must be a creative thinker to enhance brand image.Excellent oral, written and listening communication skills.Excellent organizational skills. 1st Shift   Monday - Thursday 7:00 am- 5:30 pm - When necessary, overtime will be scheduled on Fridays.
