Assistant Pastor of Missions and Outreach
The Assistant Pastor of Missions & Outreach is charged with cultivating all of Trinity's outwardly facing initiatives and equipping the congregation for engagement within these initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities: These responsibilities will occupy the majority of the pastor's time
Oversees Assimilation/Welcome Ministry
Cultivates Evangelism and Outreach Initiatives within Trinity Community
Plans, Oversees and Conducts Community Outreach Events and Ministries
Cultivates Civic Partnerships within the Kirkwood Community
Manages Existing Relationships with Local Para-church Ministries
Chair of the Overarching Trinity Mission Committee
Liaison for World and Local Missions Committee
General Pastoral Responsibilities: These responsibilities occur regularly
Regular preacher (At least six times annually with potential for growth)
Rotational worship planning and liturgical leadership
Regular teaching (SS, Connect, Officer Training, etc)
General Pastoral Care and Visitation
Counseling (As Needed)
Session meetings; Presbytery and General Assembly (rotationally)
Hospitality

Requirements
The Assistant Pastor of Missions & Outreach should possess the following traits:
Strong commitment to the Reformed Theological tradition
Ordained or ordainable in the PCA
Enjoys being with people
Strong team player and commitment to the core values of Trinity Church
Has a heart for the lost and those that are detached from the local church
Strong preaching skills
Good organizer/management skills
Good motivator of people
