Some travel is required and personnel must be available as needed to respond to after-hours emergencies.Summary Of Duties:Duties include, but are not limited to:Coordinating, developing, and implementing local SCIF Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Emergency Plans (EP), policies, and guidance, including the preparation of SCIF documentation required for accreditation.Conducting SCIF inspections, corrective action planning, and on-site support.Processing and issuing Courier Orders and Aircraft Courier Authorizations.Coordinating with applicable stakeholders for SCIF accreditation/certification for classified IT.Conducting Semi and Annual IDS testing and USM directed Security Review; Annual Self-Inspections, SOP/EP reviews and EP testing.Instituting/maintaining access process to authorized SCIF users; maintain access control roster.Executing visitor control functions to include security clearance verificationVerifying/validating clearances and accessesInvestigating known or suspected security violations, incidents, and unauthorize disclosuresEnsuring SCIF integrity through alarm monitoring, management, and auditing of the access control systemReceiving/validating incoming clearances and accesses; passing clearances and SCI accesses; preparing Visit Authorization Request (VAR) and Permanent CertificationsVerifying/vetting news media personnel/equipment for SCIF interviewsReviewing/processing foreign travel/contact requests and verifying/vetting foreign nationalsAdministering the annual SCI and Derivative Classification Refresher trainingCoordinating/executing Co-Utilization AuthorizationsServing as the Alternate Information System Security Officer (AISSO) for designated SCIF spaceServicing industrial security SCIFs in the National Capital RegionConducting preliminary inquiries for security incidents and performing the preliminary inquiry documentation and recommendationsMaintaining access codes, spin-dial combinations, intrusion detection system codes and keys for SCI Facilities/doorsConducting onsite monitoring of security systems and responding as necessary to system failures/power outages to provide security support of the space.Auto req ID470718BRMinimum Education RequiredBachelorsJob_CategoryScientific Research & DevelopmentAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesExperience and SkillsHigh school diplomaMinimum four (4) Years’ experience as a Special Security Representative or similar position with duties as described above.Experience handling customer service for a government organization or private corporation in an official capacityCollege education and management experience is desired, but not required.Must have an active TS/SCI clearanceKnowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.Excellent written and oral reporting skills, interpersonal skills.Working Conditions: Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach Able to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
