Summary
The Worcester Red Sox are seeking enthusiastic, friendly, and motivated individuals to join the Merchandise Team for the 2026 baseball season. As a Team Store Associate, you will play a key role in creating an exceptional fan experience at Polar Park. Our goal is to provide a safe and memorable environment for WooSox fans, and we’re looking for team members who share our passion for excellence and community pride.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide a welcoming and positive shopping experience by greeting and assisting fans enthusiastically in the Team Store and throughout the ballpark in a mobile capacity at times.
Promote loyalty programs and highlight ongoing promotions to enhance sales.
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor that reflects team pride.
Operate point-of-sale systems and handheld devices efficiently for a fast and friendly checkout experience.
Assist in preparing merchandise areas for game days, events, and non-game days, including cleaning and restocking all merchandise locations during and after the game.
Aid in online order fulfillment, including picking, processing, and shipping merchandise.
Additional duties may be assigned by a keyholder or manager.
Qualifications:
Committed to working at least half of the 75 scheduled games, which include nights, weekends, and holidays. This role is primarily game-day focused; candidates with consistent availability for game-day shifts will be prioritized.
Ability to stand for extended periods (3+ hours), lift up to 20 pounds, and work in various weather conditions, including snow, rain, heat and sun.
Willingness to learn and adhere to merchandise, operational, and loss prevention standards to include, but not limited to, retail POS and inventory management systems.
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent customer service and communication skills with a positive and approachable demeanor, even in a loud sports environment.
Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Skills:
Bilingual, multilingual, or fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
Previous customer service or retail experience is a plus, but training will be provided for the right candidates.
Compensation:
$15/hour
