Actual compensation within the pay range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.Location: Lincoln, RIPrincipal ObjectiveFollows standard practices in performing duties under the direction of the Manager of Account Services. Responsible for performing the diverse functions related to deposit systems, processing and for serving as an informational resource on all internal procedures within the department.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesService Delivery:Supervise the department's activities to ensure all SLAs are met or exceededLead or partner with other areas on issue management - issue identification, impact assessment, remediation efforts, and subsequent root cause analysisEnsure that end-to-end processes are understood by all teammates in the department and other impacted business areasEnsure that policies, processes, and procedures are documented and up to dateDevelop, update, maintain and test contingency plans for both physical location and system outagesIdentify, update and maintain key operational metrics related to volume, quality, and efficiencyReview current functions and operation to identify operational inefficiencies and then develop, recommend and implement improved solutionsProject Execution:Develop, document and communicate for key projects, milestones and task plans that contain activities, responsibilities, dates, overall status, next steps, issues, risks, etc.Supervise and execute project plans and task listsLead efforts, identifying stakeholders and impacted areas, collaborating with all parties (in and out of department), complete project tasks in scheduled timeIdentify project issues, risks, and key decisions and then take the lead on resolving these items by developing options, analyzing feasibility, and gaining alignment on agreed resolutionTrain or ensure team is trained on new processes to support implementation/ eventDevelop and assess readiness for implementations in terms of process/control design, procedures updates, testing requirements, conversion/implementation script development, cutover execution, and post implementation monitoringServe as liaison to other teams within the department as well as other business lines based on functional knowledgeRisk ManagementDesign, implement and update controls for functions while balancing risk analysis with operational effort to execute the controlMonitor the results of control execution, conduct analysis on areas of concern, develop and implement process changes to improve the end-to-end process and/or controlPerform RCA/Post Mortem on either significant event control failures or repeated failuresEnsure all evidence for audit and exam requirements are metReview and approve audit/exam reportsDevelop and execute remediation plans for items resulting from audits/examsComplete on time all required trainingEnsure department has completed on time all required training or have exceptions approvedLeadership and AdministrationPromote by example a goal oriented operating environment that fosters collaboration, problem solving, relationship management, professional development and teammate engagementCollaborate and partner with other departments across the bank with a positive attitude and a service minded approachProvide leadership to teammates, including coaching, monitoring, setting goals, completing performance evaluations, enforcing accountability, and developing strengths to lead to successSupervise department and other bank areas without personal conduct incidents and/or HR Employee Relations involvement related to the managerIdentify, respond and support teammate training and professional development needsMaintain costs at budgeted levels and identify exceptions for cost anomaliesJob Specifications (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required)Bachelor's Degree (preferred)Three (3) or more years of prior management experience in financial services industry/ banking (Preferred)Five (5) or more years' experience in Bank Deposit OperationsStrong writing and presentation skillsGeneral knowledge of bank operational functions, systems, procedures, various products and/or servicesGeneral knowledge of risks associated with banking operationsExperience in review and implementation of banking applications, bank wide conversionsGeneral understanding and practical application of applicable Federal and State laws and regulationsAbility to collaborate and partner with all levels of managementDetail oriented with strong planning skills and consistent follow throughAbility to mentor and trainAble to successfully balance conflicting priorities and manage conflictAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including proficiency in data manipulation (Excel, Visio, Word, Dynamics, etc.)Highly self-motivated and directed, as well as a team contributorUp to 10% Travel requirementSpecialized Banking Operations Knowledge (Team Specific)Experience with FIS IBS Platform and Image CenterPrior experience with Smartsheet application (preferred)Monitoring requests submitted to the bank via subpoenas, garnishments, court orders, or by other financial institutionsMonitor annual W-9 and W-8 TIN Compliance mailing and backup withholdingBehavioral SkillsProven management and development skillsExperience in bringing together multiple lines of business for collaboration and executionActs as an agent for positive change with flexibilityThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this position.
