Senior Data Engineer (with start-up experience) Location: 100% Remote - Home Base in Europe (Must have the right to work as sponsorship is not available)Salary: Negotiable Depending on ExperienceRef: J12816A global leader in immersive conversational AI technology is in search of a commercially minded Senior Data Engineer to design and implement large scale data warehouse and data lake solutions.This is an exciting opportunity to build a scalable data infrastructure from the ground up for a rapidly growing start-up specialising in cutting edge AI technology. Working in a high energy, fast paced collaborative environment, you’ll deliver Data Engineering expertise to C-Level and other business functions.You will be a highly motivated self-starter and exceptional communicator with expertise in D2C subscription based services, working with marketing and advertising data for notable start-ups.Responsibilities:Data Architecture Design: Develop and maintain robust data warehouse and data lake architectures (e.g. Google BigQuery on Google Cloud Platform or similar such as AWS or MS Azure).ETL Development: Design, implement, and manage ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.Data Integration: Centralize data from multiple sources, including media platforms, CRM systems, and transactional databases. Ensure seamless integration and accessibility for analysis.Compliance and Governance: Ensure all data management processes comply with LGPD/GDPR and other relevant regulations. Implement and maintain data quality and governance standards.Performance Optimization: Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to handle exponential data growth and support agile decision-making.Collaboration: Work closely with Business Analysts to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions. Collaborate with marketing and analytics teams to facilitate data-driven strategies.Documentation and Accessibility: Keep detailed documentation of data flows and processes. Ensure data is accessible to stakeholders across the organization.Requirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.Experience of working for a start-up or larger organisation5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on marketing and advertising dataExperience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and Azure.Knowledge of BigQuery or similar data warehouse solutions.Experience of message/conversation data fields or similar.Experience in designing and implementing data warehouses and data lakes.Experience of D2C subscription based services.Hands-on experience with data integration from various sources, including APIs, spreadsheets, and transactional databases.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data quality, consistency, and performance optimization.Excellent communication and ability to work effectively at C-Level and with cross-functional teams.If you are highly motivated with experience of working in a fast paced technically advanced environment and seeking a rewarding challenge, then this could be the role for you.Get in touch today to find out more!Alternatively, you can refer a friend or colleague by taking part in our fantastic referral schemes!
