The medical facility features a supportive environment with a multidisciplinary team including anesthesiologists, CRNAs, physician assistants, and specialized wound clinic services.Opportunity:Physician - Surgery - GeneralJob Details:• Provide comprehensive surgical care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department settings• Perform common general surgical procedures including hernia repair, cholecystectomy, endoscopy, appendectomy, management of small bowel obstruction, colorectal surgery, and skin and soft tissue procedures• Deliver evaluation and management of acute and chronic wounds within the multidisciplinary Wound Clinic model• Provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of surgical conditions• Exercise advanced operative skills and strong clinical judgment• Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, physician assistants, perioperative and peri-anesthesia teams, emergency department clinicians, hospitalists, and wound clinic team• Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures, risks and benefits, and post-operative care plans• Review diagnostic test results and address abnormalities• Offer surgical input for palliative care, pain management, and end-of-life decision support• Participate in departmental meetings and engage in ongoing professional development• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery• Requires active Vermont medical license and DEA registration• CPR for Healthcare Providers certification required• Must have clean malpractice history• Not open to candidates requiring visa support or commuting more than 1 hourCompensation:Employed salary with benefits.Recruiter InformationRecruiter: Jamie ThomasEmail: jthomas@bashealthcare.comPhone: (703) 378-0004 x312
