TripletenBoston, KYMay 17th, 2026
Nebius Academy is an international online learning platform helping engineering teams and business professionals master data-driven technologies. We build hands-on, industry-relevant programs for B2B audiences — combining technical rigor with real-world application. Our Data Infrastructure curriculum covers the full spectrum of working with structured data: from foundational SQL querying and data modeling to advanced query optimization, pipeline design, and data warehouse architecture — applied to real business and engineering challenges.Who are we looking for?We are building a talent pool of experienced Data Engineers, Database Administrators, and Analytics Engineers for ongoing roles as Instructors, Authors, and Subject Matter Experts in our Data Infrastructure educational programs. We are looking for specialists across the following areas: Basic SQL, Advanced SQL, query optimization, data pipeline design, data warehouse concepts, and adjacent data engineering topics.A strong candidate doesn't just know their stack deeply — they actively work with databases and structured data in real-world projects and can translate complex technical concepts into practical, teachable content. We prioritize hands-on experience with tools and workflows such as SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar), query performance tuning, data modeling and schema design, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehouse or lakehouse architectures. The ability to teach others how to write efficient queries, structure data for scale, and make sound database design decisions is what sets our experts apart.Role levels we're hiring across:Junior level — Instructors Ideal background: Data Analyst, Junior Data Engineer 1–3 years working with databases and structured data. You're comfortable writing SQL queries, working with joins and aggregations, and explaining SQL logic step-by-step with realistic examples. In your sessions, you guide students through real datasets, help them debug queries, and build their confidence with structured data.Mid level — Authors Ideal background: Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer 3–6 years managing large datasets and data pipelines. You specialize in query optimization, pipeline design, and data warehouse concepts. As a course author, you explain database design choices and data flow decisions in a way that connects technical depth to practical outcomes for engineering teams.Senior level — Subject Matter Experts Ideal background: Analytics Director, Data Architect 6+ years in data infrastructure, including experience leading large-scale database design or data architecture projects. You've shaped data governance practices and can speak credibly to data infrastructure strategy at the organizational level. You contribute to curriculum design and ensure our programs reflect current industry standards. These are Talent Pool positions — we continuously review applications and build our roster of experts. This means there may not be an immediate opening at the time you apply, but strong candidates will be added to our talent pool and contacted as relevant opportunities arise. You can join us on a part-time basis (~10–15h/week), contributing as an instructor leading live sessions and workshops, as a course author creating learning materials, or as a subject matter expert supporting curriculum development. Teaching sessions are compensated separately.Compensation: $40–150/hour, depending on experience and format of collaboration. Our selection process is fully asynchronous and designed to respect your time:Application Review — we evaluate your profile against our current needsAsync Video Interview — a short self-recorded interview (10–15 minutes max)Test Assignment — approximately 1 hour to completeTalent Pool — finalists are added to our active roster of vetted expertsHiring Manager & Tech Expert Call — once a relevant position opens, we invite you to a live interview with our teamOffer — we extend an offer for a relevant position upon successful completion of the processApply now — we review applications on an ongoing basis.
