Physician: OB/GYN - Full-Scope

Job Description Job OverviewThis comprehensive OB/GYN role presents an enriching combination of outpatient services, gynecologic surgeries, and inpatient duties, specifically covering The Birthplace. Physicians in this position will engage in scheduled shifts and provide backup support for labor and delivery, obstetric triage, and urgent gynecologic care. This role is essential in offering extensive women's health services throughout the medical center, ensuring continuity of care for patients across the health system.The responsibilities encompass full-scope obstetric care, management of both routine and complex gynecological cases, and surgical opportunities in the Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Center. The Birthplace benefits from 24/7 in-house anesthesia and CRNA support, a significant advantage not commonly found in many community hospitals. Additionally, GYN Oncology services are accessible through a collaboration with a leading medical institution.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver comprehensive prenatal care, conduct well-woman examinations, provide contraceptive and preconception counseling, and manage high-risk pregnancies with Maternal-Fetal Medicine support as necessary.Administer gynecologic care, including annual exams, assessment and treatment of menstrual and menopausal issues, contraceptive management, and minor in-office procedures.Oversee full-scope coverage at The Birthplace, managing laboring patients and addressing urgent obstetric and gynecologic situations.Perform gynecologic surgeries in both the Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Center.Collaborate with nurses, midwives, medical students, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Engage in labor and delivery protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing efforts to uphold high standards of patient-centered care.Work within a system that provides 24/7 midwifery coverage in labor and delivery at The Birthplace.QualificationsBoard-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.Familiarity with EPIC EMR is preferred.Open to recent graduates or those new to the field.Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practices.Excellent communication abilities and the capacity to excel in a dynamic clinical setting.BenefitsScenic location along the Southern New Hampshire/Massachusetts border.Comprehensive benefits package, including:BCBS Health InsuranceDelta Dental403(b) retirement plan with company matching457(f) deferred savings planGenerous paid time off, holidays, and 5 CME days with a stipendCompetitive base salaryAbout UsWe are a nonprofit healthcare organization that has been serving the greater Nashua area since 1893.
