Employees are expected to follow established guidelines, and food safety regulations while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen and dining areas. Food Service employees work collaboratively as part of the school's food service team to ensure timely meal service, positive interactions with students and staff, and compliance with district, state, and federal requirements. Reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent service to students are key expectations for all food service employees.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ability to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash accuratelyStrong customer service skills when working with students and staffAbility to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to assist in multiple cafeteria stations as neededAbility to stock and maintain workstations with food, beverages, and suppliesKnowledge of or ability to follow National School Lunch Program guidelinesAbility to maintain National School Lunch Program production recordsAbility to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety and sanitation standardsComfortable using approved cleaning chemicals safelyAbility to stand for extended periods and perform light liftingBasic kitchen skillsAbility to perform cleaning duties using a commercial dishwasherOther duties may be assigned.
