Press Brake Operator (Metal Fabrication)
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up and operating press brake equipment to bend, form, and shape metal components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to safety and quality. Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC and/or manual press brake machines to fabricate metal partsInterpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine bend angles, dimensions, and tolerancesSelect appropriate tooling, die, and machine settings for each jobPerform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product accuracy and qualityLoad, position, and secure materials for bending operationsMaintain production efficiency while meeting established deadlinesPerform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organizedFollow all safety procedures and company policies QualificationsPrevious press brake operation experience preferred (CNC experience a plus)Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsStrong mechanical aptitude and basic math skillsExperience using precision measuring instrumentsAbility to lift and move materials as required (typically up to 50 lbs.)Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workAbility to work independently and as part of a team Work EnvironmentManufacturing or shop environmentExposure to noise, moving machinery, and metal materialsUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) required Schedule & CompensationFull-time, with potential overtime depending on production needsCompetitive pay based on experienceBenefits may include medical, dental, vision, and paid time off (varies by placement)
