PIZZA CASHIER JOB SUMMARYQuickly and efficiently provide friendly customer service in a fast-paced, counter-service pizza restaurant by: (1) providing an exceptional customer experience; (2) accurately ringing all sales into the point-of-sale system and processing payments; (3) assisting guests with menu selections and (4) ensuring compliance with all beer and wine service regulations.PIZZA CASHIER ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain a positive, high, well-balanced energy level throughout the entire shiftHave strong interpersonal communication skills in order to greet guests, answer guest questions and address guest concerns in a warm, professional, and accommodating mannerMaintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter, dining area, and beverage stationTake accurate food and beverage orders at the counter and over the phoneAccurately ring all sales into the point-of-sale system and process cash and credit card transactionsServe beer and wine in accordance with company policy and state alcohol regulationsAssist with light food running and order handoff to guestsRestock front-of-house items including napkins, utensils, beverages and to-go suppliesExhibit consistently dependable, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy conductProvide exemplary guest service on a consistent basisFollow all proper cash handling procedures and guidelinesComplete any and all assigned cleaning duties, including stocking and organizationPerform all assigned side-work quickly and efficientlyPIZZA CASHIER SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITYKnowledge of Teamwork and Toast POS systemAbility to read, write and speak the English language to interact with guests, the public, and coworkersProficient verbal communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and professionally deal with stressful situations during busy periods in a loud, busy, and crowded environmentStrong interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfactionBasic mathematical skillsKnowledge of daily maintenance and cleaning of venueMust have knowledge of all required legal documents, i.e., A.B.C., Health Department, Police, City, Etc.QUALIFICATION STANDARDSEducationHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent preferredExperienceMinimum of one year's experience hospitality or customer service preferredAgeMust be at least 18 to meet minimum age requirement of the State of Tennessee to serve alcoholic beverages because the position will be for an establishment licensed to serve alcohol.Licenses or CertificatesFood Handlers CardABC Server PermitCPR certification and/or First Aid training preferredGROOMINGAll employees must wear the proper uniform and maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Company's grooming standards.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING ENVIRONMENTMust be able to work in an environment with constantly elevated temperaturesMust be able to work and move quickly in a tight-space environment in a safe manner without disrupting other employeesMust be able to lift at least 25 lbs.OTHERApplicants with additional language skills preferred
