MWI Health is seeking a psychiatrist to join our practice and provide general oversight of all psychiatric services, including clinical protocols, supervision of advanced practice providers, and delivery of psychiatric services to patients.We are looking for an enthusiastic, high-energy, motivated Psychiatrist interested in serving Veterans. Interested candidates must have experience and must be dependable, punctual, and able to communicate professionally.RequirementsProvide psychiatric supervision and administrative direction to clinical and support staff, including advanced practice practitioners.Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations, including intake assessments & follow-up assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing support for individuals with mental health conditions.Create, communicate, and carry out treatment plans with the patient.Complete full and appropriate documentation to support professional billing for services.Interpret test results to diagnose any health issues and provide feedback to patients.Educate and counsel patients regarding medication compliance.Prescribe medications when clinically necessary.Communicate with patients regarding diagnosis and treatment plan.Communicate with, and make referrals to, PCPs and/or specialists, as appropriate.Provide services at community partnership locations.Maintain required licensure, certifications, and CME credits.Other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:This position will be responsible for providing supervision and guidance to Advanced Practice Providers (nurse practitioners and/or physician assistants with a collaborative physician agreement if required) for practice, as well as general clinical mentorship and guidance.Serve as a clinical escalation point for APPs and other medical staff within the practice.Education and Experience:Must possess (or be eligible for) an active & unrestricted license to practice in North Dakota.Must possess an unrestricted DEA license in the state(s) of practice (ND).MD or DO degree (or international equivalent)Completion of an accredited psychiatry residencyAdult PsychiatristBoard Certified PsychiatristEligible for credentialing with all major insurance plans and to participate in Medicare.Excellent communication, patient relations, time management skills, and safety awareness are required.Computer literate and experienced with Electronic Medical Records.Benefits: Sign-On Bonus for full-time provider 401(k) retirement plan with company matchHealth insuranceDental InsuranceVision insuranceHealth savings account optionLife insuranceFlexible schedulePaid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceReferral program
