Food Service Director
Responsibilities:Oversee all food and nutrition services, ensuring high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations.Manage dietary staff, food production, budgeting, and meal services while maintaining strict adherence to healthcare standards and sanitation guidelines.Direct and oversee daily operations of food services, including meals, cafeteria, and catering services.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission, and FDA food safety standards).Collaborate with dietitians to ensure meals meet dietary requirements.Develop and manage departmental budgets, including food, labor, and supply costs.Monitor food quality, safety, and sanitation procedures in accordance with ServSafe and infection control standards.Hire, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen, dietary, and service staff.Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and satisfaction.Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee inventory control.Ensure proper documentation for audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.Address customer and staff feedback to continuously improve dining services.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management, Nutrition, Hospitality, or related field (required).Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred.ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain).At least 5+ years of food service management experience.Staff management experience.Strong knowledge of healthcare food regulations and customer dietary needs.Here is more information:Position: Food Service DirectorTerm: 6 month contract to hireSchedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm ESTLocation: Chicago, IL 60612Pay: $55-65/hr
