DescriptionJob Title: Registered Nurse - Preoperative CareJob SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Preoperative Care team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort before surgery. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.Key Responsibilities Conduct preoperative assessments and evaluations of patients. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the surgical team. Educate patients and their families about the surgical process, preoperative instructions, and postoperative care. Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health status prior to surgery. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician. Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including the management of preoperative documentation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation. Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Previous experience in preoperative or surgical nursing is an advantage. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
