Book Retailers and News DealersOffice Supplies, Stationery, and Gift RetailersUsed Merchandise RetailersGrocery and Convenience RetailersBeer, Wine, and Liquor RetailersHiring: QA Engineer – POS & RetailKey Highlight:Experience setting up QA lab with hands on setting up POS, peripherals (Verifone, HP)Expereince working with different payment processors, testing payment methodsGood knowledge of store backoffice systems.Location: Louisville, KY (Onsite)Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of Extension)Visa: USC or GC onlyKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, create, and maintain test scenarios and test cases aligned with functional requirements.Prepare and manage test data to ensure availability in the test environment.Execute test cases and document results, including detailed evidence of testing.Log, track, and retest defects in a timely manner using test management tools.Communicate testing progress, risks, and status effectively to the Test Lead and QA Manager.Collaborate with cross-functional teams within a project environment.Support issue resolution and drive defects through to closure.Deliver high-quality outputs aligned with business and application requirements.Complete assigned tasks within deadlines based on priorities set by the BusinessRequired QualificationsMinimum 3+ years of experience in Software TestingHands-on experience in testing POS transactions and retail workflows.Experience designing and executing test cases for:Sales, returns, exchanges, and refundsPromotions, discounts, and tax calculationsTender types (cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards)Experience validating POS integrations with systems such as promotions, loyalty, and payment processing.Strong understanding of retail business processes.Ability to validate and analyze data using SQL queries.Knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative).Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, or similar test management tools.Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.Ability to collaborate effectively and work proactively in a team environment.Interested?
