Join our compassionate team as a Caring Person dedicated to supporting a young individual with disabilities in a nurturing and respectful environment. This rewarding role involves providing attentive care, assistance with daily activities, and fostering independence for a youth with unique needs. Working during Sunday mornings from 7 am to 1 pm in Stillwater, you will play a vital part in enhancing quality of life through personalized care and support. We are seeking energetic, patient, and detail-oriented individuals committed to making a positive difference every day.
(Please note Saturdays are also avl if you want more hours but not required)
Duties
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity
Monitor and observe the individual’s health status, including vital signs and overall well-being, while adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations
Support with medication administration and ensure adherence to care plans designed by healthcare professionals
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs, ensuring safety and proper nutrition
Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning and organizing living spaces
Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to assist with mobility and prevent injury during transfers
Engage the individual in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive development, including working with individuals with autism or dementia care needs
Experience
Middle or high school diploma is required
A car to transport the person is required (mileage reimbursement is avl)
Pay: $30.00 per hour
