Partnering with architects, engineers, and construction managers, they deliver innovative, reliable, and fully integrated systems for complex projects across industries including Aerospace, Entertainment, Stadiums & Ballparks, Telescope Observatories, and Custom Cranes.They are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and execution of highly customized mechanized structures and systems. This is an opportunity to work on landmark projects from concept through installation in a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign complex mechanical systems including actuators, gearing, bearings, weldments, wheels, and related assembliesDevelop engineering concepts, calculations, and detailed mechanical designs for custom projectsServe as Project Engineer, overseeing design, implementation, scheduling, and technical executionLead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to meet project milestones and deliverablesCollaborate directly with clients to ensure project objectives and expectations are achievedParticipate in design reviews with contractors, architects, consultants, and project stakeholdersCoordinate with electrical, structural, purchasing, manufacturing, and field teams throughout project executionDevelop prototype designs, testing procedures, and commissioning plansSupervise prototype testing, troubleshooting, and reporting activitiesVisit manufacturing and vendor sites to inspect and test components prior to shipmentDrive continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, performance, manufacturability, and maintenanceQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, custom machinery, or related industriesExperience designing complex mechanical systems and managing engineering riskStrong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, fabrication methods, and system integrationProficiency with engineering and analysis software such as:SolidWorksSolidWorks SimulationMathCADANSYSGD&TAbility to independently solve complex technical challenges and manage multiple prioritiesStrong communication and leadership skills in cross-functional team environmentsMust qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR regulationsPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Mechanical EngineeringEIT certification or PE licenseExperience with motors, hydraulics, actuators, and gearing systemsHands-on fabrication or machine shop experienceExperience supporting installation and commissioning activitiesAdditional InformationTravel up to 5% (domestic and international)Competitive salary: $100K–$140K DOEOpportunity to work on high-profile, one-of-a-kind engineering projects
