With a TrustPilot score of 4.7, Atmosphere was founded in 2015 by an author and PhD in Literature, and since then has published more than 1,500 books.The RoleWe're looking for a detail-oriented and personable Book Distribution Coordinator to join our team.In this part-time role, you'll assist the Book Distribution Manager with uploading books to KDP and Ingram, including tasks such as ordering proof copies, coordinating with the printers on printing errors and book orders, choosing keywords, and connecting with past and present authors on a myriad of things.You'll be a key part of helping authors fulfill their dream by getting their books as wide a distribution as possible, ensuring their books are printing well and are accurately listed on retail sites, ensuring the author's publication journey meets Atmosphere Press's standards of excellence every step of the way.What You'll Do- Upload book files to Ingram and KDP with attention to detail and keyword strategy- Order author and proof copies from Ingram and KDP- Collaborate with our production and publicity teams to ensure authors stay on track for their release date- Assist the Book Distribution Manager with contacting Ingram and KDP- Assist the Book Distribution Manager with author contact and project documentation, and ensure timely communication with authors- Assist the Book Distribution Manager with metadata and price changes in Ingram and KDPWhat We're Looking For- Experience with KDP and Ingram, or other publishing platforms- Technical proficiency with file management, metadata, and Google Workspace.- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills—you're comfortable talking with authors and helping them understand the publishing process- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail- Willingness to handle tough situations and find a way to resolve conflict, while ensuring a fair resolution- A passion for publishing, storytelling, and supporting independent authorsWhy You'll Love Working With Us- 100% Remote — flexible part-time hours- $20–$25/hour depending on experience- Start Date: Immediately- 1099 status and no in-office requirements- Significant growth opportunity — we promote from within, and reward initiative and star players- Work with a creative, mission-driven team that values authors and their stories
