At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our Guests' needs, making them feel welcome and comfortable.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONSOperational ResponsibilitiesContribute positively to the team within the departmentComplete other duties as assigned by SupervisorEnsure all side-work to include filling and stocking salt/pepper shakers is completed.Set up for events by putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement and setting up a buffetCarrying plates of food on trays and serving guestsKeep glasses filled; remove each round of plates and replenish utensilsPerform cleaning tasks and breakdown of serviceMaintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needsGuest ServicesPrepare for any/all guest with requestInform of any special request or special instructions to staffAssist with special events as neededTeam Support and TrainingParticipate in on-going training.Communication and ReportingContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededSafety & ComplianceComply with Valencia Hotel Group standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.Maintain high standards of safety and cleanlinessPerform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by management or supervisors.Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistentlyESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSStrong verbal and written communication skillsEffective time management and problem-solving skillsAbility to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detailExcellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilitiesPhysical RequirementsSitting: Occasionally.
