Covenant Enforcement Officer
Job Description
The Foxwood Hills Covenant Enforcement Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Property Owners Association's governing documents, including covenants, conditions, and restrictions (CC&Rs), bylaws and community standards. This role helps maintain property values and community aesthetics through consistent enforcement, communication and education. Conduct routine inspections of properties and common areas to identify violations of POA rules and standardsInvestigates complaints submitted by residents, board members or managementDocuments violations with detailed reports, photographs and notesIssues violation notices and follow up to ensure timely resolutionMaintains accurate records of inspections, correspondence, and enforcement actionsCommunicates clearly and professionally with property owners regarding violations and compliance requirementsEducates residents on POA rules, policies and proceduresCoordinates with the General Manager and BOard on enfocement strategies and escaltionsAttends board meetings, hearings, or court as needed to present findings or provide updatesMonitors compliance with deadlines and takes appropriate enforcement action when necessaryAssists in updating and refining community standards and enforcement proceduresOther duties as assigned by the general manager/board of directors High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferredPrevious experience in code enforcement, property management, compliance or a related field preferredKnowledge of HOA/POA governing documents and enforcement practices is a plusStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle conflict professionally and diplomaticallyProficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, property management software)Valid South Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation Combination of fieldwork and office workRegular outdoor inspections in various weather conditionsMay require walking, standing, and occasional liftingFlexible hours may be required for meetings or hearingsCompany DescriptionThe Foxwood Hills Covenant Enforcement Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Property Owners Association's governing documents, including covenants, conditions and restrictions (CC&Rs), bylaws and community standards.
