This role focuses on analyzing and optimizing current production operations, evaluating project and process improvement initiatives, and providing hands-on support throughout the full manufacturing lifecycle. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager drives the execution of efficient, cost-effective manufacturing methods and processes, from initial planning through final implementation, ensuring high-quality, scalable production.Key Responsibilities:Lead Tooling team to achieve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) objectives and project deliverablesLead with the Operations Manager to develop tooling and manufacturing processes, techniques, and equipment utilization to improve productivity overallPerform as engineering technical liaison to customers on all related program activity.Track mold builds and engineering changes on both new and existing projects.Reduce tool build bounce-backs, increase first-off trial success - working closely with process engineersAdherence to ISO 13485 procedures.Assist in quality CAPAs and Validations.Utilized continuous improvement, lean and six sigma tools to reach OEE standards.This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the Clinton Township, MI location.QualificationsQualifications:Bachelor degree in related discipline preferredFormal Education in Six Sigma, Lean, and leadership preferred15+ years' experience with plastic injection tooling and molding requiredExperience in the medical device industry or ISO 13485 environment is desirableExperience using Solidworks, Creo/Cimatron desiredStrong problem solving and lean manufacturing skillsProcess & results drivenInnovative, inspiring, and able to work in a consultative relationship throughout the organizationDriven, self-motivatedChange agent and bias for action with a positive attitudeOrganized and able to bring projects to a successful conclusionStrong communication & presentation skillsStrong problem solving and lean manufacturing skillsProcess & results drivenInnovative, inspiring, and able to work in a consultative relationship throughout the organizationWork performed in an office and manufacturing environment requires normal mobility to move around with the ability to conduct eight hours (8) of work at a computer.
