Food Vendor
If you are coming in as an Independent Contractor or an LLC, you aren't an "employee"—you are a Strategic Production Partner. IB provides the logistics intelligence and the marketplace infrastructure; you provide the yield and the operational reliability. Here is what the contract actually requires you to do to stay in the network:1. Production Commitment & SchedulingWe don’t buy "whatever you happen to have." We operate on a coordinated grow-plan.The Job: You commit to specific crop volumes and delivery windows months in advance. You are responsible for hitting those benchmarks. If your crop fails, you are responsible for the immediate communication required to pivot the supply chain.2. Traceability & "TLC" ManagementIn our system, data is as important as the crop. The Job: You are required to use our Traceable Lot Code (TLC) system. Every unit you produce must be logged, labeled with the correct QR codes, and scanned into the hub. You aren't just dropping off a crate; you are uploading a digital record of that crate’s journey.3. Quality Standardization (The "IB Grade")Consistency is the only way we scale regional food. The Job: You must grade and pack your product to IB’s specific "Hub-Ready" standards. This means uniform crate sizes, specific wash protocols, and pre-sorting. If it arrives at the hub and doesn't meet the grade, it doesn't enter the system.4. Hub Logistics & "Last Meter" DeliveryYou handle the movement from your soil to our intake. The Job: You are responsible for getting your product to the designated IB Hub within the strict "intake window." You manage your own transport, fuel, and cold-storage-on-wheels until the moment the Hub Manager signs off on the transfer. The Requirements (For your LLC/Contract)Infrastructure: You must have the equipment to meet our wash/pack/label specs.Compliance: You must maintain your own food safety certifications and liability insurance (COI) that names IB as an additional insured.Digital Literacy: You must be able to operate our logistics platform via smartphone/tablet in the field. No paper-only operations.
