Techno Functional Business Analyst with P&C Insurance domain
Title: Techno Functional Business Analyst with P&C Insurance Location: NJ or NY or CT – Need to do Hybrid 03 days per week Responsibilities:Overall 10+ years of Experience as a Techno Functional Business Analyst. 7 to 8 Years in P&C Exp. Strong experience as a Technical Business Analyst (not purely functional) with knowledge on insurance domain including underwriting, claims, actuarial, exposure management.Should be able to lead meetings with both business and technical teams and support multiple projects/initiatives. Act as a liaison between business and technical teams with minimal guidance.Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements for implementation (AI projects, data initiatives, and AI governance projects)Hands on experience using Postman for API testing and validation.Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON payloads, and integration patterns.Ability to contribute to architecture discussions, not just capture requirements.Should be able to handle data discrepancies between source to target (strong SQL experience)Should be familiar with epics, features, user stories, data mapping, process flow diagrams.Ensure non-functional requirements (security, performance, reliability) are considered and included.Domain & Functional:7 to 8 years of experience in US Property & Casualty InsuranceStrong understanding of policy lifecycle, underwriting, claims processing, billing workflows, actuarial concepts, and exposure managementExperience supporting large-scale P&C transformation or enhancement programsTechnical Skills:Strong experience as a Techno-Functional Business Analyst (not purely functional)Hands-on experience with Guidewire (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) or Duck CreekSolid understanding of APIs, integrations, and data flowsExperience using Postman for API testingStrong SQL skills for data validation and analysisFamiliarity with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOpsOther Skills:Experience working in an offshore delivery modelStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to collaborate across time zonesHigh ownership, attention to detail, and delivery focusPreferred QualificationsGuidewire or Duck Creek certificationExperience supporting North American P&C insurersBachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field.
