Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mason to join our construction team in Rhode Island. As a Mason, you will be responsible for creating durable, high-quality structures using various materials such as brick, stone, concrete, and other masonry products. Your expertise will contribute to a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, and renovation sites. Duties Construct and repair walls, facades, walkways, patios, and other structures using brick, stone, concrete blocks, and similar materials. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of designs. Prepare surfaces by mixing mortar and concrete; apply finishing techniques such as smoothing and polishing to achieve a professional look. Install rebar reinforcement for concrete structures to ensure stability and durability. Operate hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and power tools including drills and saws safely and efficiently. Manage concrete forming processes to shape foundations, columns, or decorative elements with accuracy. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople on renovation projects involving plastering, stucco application, or metal stud framing. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes; maintain a clean and organized work site at all times. Skills Extensive experience in construction site environments with a focus on masonry work. Proficiency in concrete finishing techniques Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for accurate project execution. Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely while maintaining precision in craftsmanship. Familiarity with construction estimating processes to assist in project planning and material procurement. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various trades. Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites; commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
