Creative Manager
Position Overview:Our client is a leading cannabis company seeking a Creative Manager who is hands on with design to lead creative campaigns for their in-house creative team. This role is heavily promotions-focused and ideal for a hands-on creative leader who understands how to drive performance through localized, market-relevant creative within a highly regulated environment.The ideal candidate will be local to the Scottsdale / Phoenix area and able to work in a hybrid capacity, coming in for business meetings and larger campaign reviews (so can be mostly remote). Deep familiarity with the Phoenix market is critical, as this role will inject local flavor and regional insight into promotional creative. In addition, this role will oversee promotional creative for the Northeast market, balancing national brand consistency with regional relevance. Responsibilities:Lead promotional creative strategy for a multi-state cannabis brand across retail, digital, email, social, and in-store channelsDevelop Phoenix-specific promotional creative that reflects local culture, consumer behavior, and seasonalityInject local and regional relevance into creative while maintaining strict brand and regulatory complianceOwn and manage promotional creative for the Phoenix and Northeast marketsCollaborate closely with marketing, promotions, CRM, retail, and compliance teamsManage, mentor, and develop 3 direct reports, providing creative guidance and performance feedbackReview and approve creative to ensure quality, accuracy, and on-time deliveryMaintain brand consistency while adapting creative for market-specific needsBalance strategic leadership with hands-on execution when requiredQualifications:5 plus years of experience in a creative and design-focused rolePrior experience managing or leading designersStrong background in promotions-driven creative, ideally in retail, CPG, or cannabisVibrant and colorful portfolio showcasing conceptual campaign workWorking knowledge of cannabis marketing regulations and compliance standards is a strong plusProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); Figma a plusStrong project management, communication, and collaboration skillsExperience supporting multiple markets and fast-paced promotional calendarsAssociate or Bachelor's degree preferredThis is an exciting opportunity to lead promotions-focused creative at a growing cannabis brand while owning local and regional impact.
