About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and commissioning of large-scale mechanical systems for amusement rides and industrial automation projects. You will work on full system design—from concept through installation—ensuring safety, reliability, and performance in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, analyze, and implement mechanical systems for large-scale projects, including theme park ride systems
Perform stress, fatigue, load, and failure mode (FMEA) analysis
Conduct hazard/risk assessments and ensure compliance with ASTM safety standards
Develop detailed mechanical drawings and assemblies using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Troubleshoot and commission pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical control systems onsite
Lead projects as a technical lead or Project Manager for $50K–$250K projects, coordinating engineers, technicians, and contractors
Prepare system documentation, test plans, and maintenance/job plans
Requirements:
Education:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
Experience: 7–10+ years in mechanical system design, including full system design and field installation; experience with theme park or industrial ride systems preferred
Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks; knowledge of mechanical system analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) is a plus
Strong understanding of mechanical components, stress/fatigue analysis, acceleration forces, and ASTM safety standards
Ability to travel up to 35% and work onsite at client locations
