Associate Electronic Assembler
An Associate Electronic Assembler is responsible for assembling a range of components to create sub-assemblies or finished products, following detailed written instructions to meet quality and production requirements. This is an onsite opportunity ideal for candidates looking to grow within a dynamic and expanding organization.Qualifications/ ResponsibilitiesHas basic knowledge of soldering and can complete a J-STD certification and pass a soldering skill evaluation Assembles handpieces, optical products, and various types of mechanical, pneumatic and electronic products according to written specifications and procedures Capable of reading blueprints and follow work instructions Assembles, prepares, and molds various types of wire harnesses and cable assemblies Inspects parts, assemblies, and products throughout the production process Performs production tests on various assemblies, subassemblies, and final products Uses a variety of hand tools and manual, semi-automatic, automatic assembly test equipment Understands and complies with ESD requirements Must be willing and able to continually rotate through a variety of manufacturing processes, performing all types of tasks in a cell/team environment Must have basic understanding of computers Performs preventive maintenance on tools, equipment and machines as required. Performs other related tasks including housekeeping tasks required to keep work areas clean and organized. Observes all safety rules and regulations including the wearing of protective equipment when required. Sustains and maintains 6S standards and all continuous improvement activities Communicates with the other shifts, if applicable, the status of parts, equipment and any other matters that might have an impact on their job. RequirementsA minimum 2 years’ experience as an electronic assembler with proven soldering proficiency Must be able to stand for up to eight hours per day, ability to move about, bends, stoops, uses hands and lift up to 35 pounds unassisted. Unaided visual acuity or corrected visual acuity should be at least 20/40 in each eye at infinity (20 feet) with the ability to distinguish colors.
