Cloud Engineering Technical Leader (Remote)

For our client, we are seeking a Cloud Engineering Technical Leader to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.This remote role will guide complex cloud engineering efforts that support scalable, secure, and highly reliable technology environments. The leader will partner across application, infrastructure, and platform teams to shape architecture decisions and drive implementation. This position is well suited for someone who can translate business needs into resilient cloud solutions while improving operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $186,900 – $267,700 annuallyResponsibilities Lead the design and implementation of complex cloud engineering initiatives across multiple teams Create scalable cloud architecture focused on availability, performance, security, and reliability Provide domain expertise in application infrastructure, cloud architecture, and platform engineering Develop and manage public and private cloud infrastructure and management platforms Drive automation and establish efficient strategies for deployment and operations Conduct cloud infrastructure utilization analysis to enhance performance and reduce costs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective cloud architecture solutionsQualifications Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years, or a PhD with 3+ years of related experience 5+ years designing and implementing cloud-based software solutions Experience designing and operating cloud infrastructures with a focus on availability, performance, scalability, reliability, and security Demonstrated leadership in technical design and implementation of complex cloud projects across teams Expertise in infrastructure automation, deployment strategies, and cloud infrastructure optimizationBenefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan with matching contributions Paid parental leave and short- and long-term disability coverage Flexible vacation policies with no defined limits for exempt employees Paid time away for holidays, personal wellness, and volunteer opportunitiesOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
