SAMPLE TRANSPORT I (NY): Clean Driving Record and Personal Vehicle Required APPLICANTS MUST currently live within a reasonable commute of business location. OUT OF AREA candidates and/or those requiring a relocation will NOT be considered. ABOUT US: The Green Analytics’ companies are leaders in cannabis science and technology with significant footprints in laboratory testing and analytics, research and development, genetics, cultivation consulting, environmental swabbing and monitoring, packaging integrity studies, and product development. Our teams, led by highly experienced Ph.D. 's and analytical chemists, hold accuracy, customer service, and rapid turnaround time as our primary commitments to the medical and recreational cannabis cultivators and processors we serve. Employees may be exposed to common allergens and must be comfortable working with/near cannabis related products. SCHEDULE: Shifts range from 5-12 hours per day within operating hours (6am-8pm); flexibility is a must. Employees must have their own vehicle with NY registration/tags and must be willing to drive a long-distance route requiring overnight stays from Rochester to Pearl River, NY at least 2x week. Additional compensation is provided at a rate of $0.73 cents per mile, hotel accommodations and a per diem meal allowance while on route. SAMPLE TRANSPORT POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for conducting sampling in the field, completing all relevant documentation and ensuring all samples are safely and securely transported to the Laboratory for processing. SAMPLE TRANSPORT ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs precise and reliable on-site sampling in accordance with established procedures, protocols, and state requirements Provides for the transportation of customer samples in designated vehicles from various sampling sites to delivery at the laboratory Adheres to recorded transport routes and schedules to ensure the safe and timely transport of client samples Implements proper chain of custody documentation and adhering to state and corporate protocol for the transport of samples Provides for the timely logging of client samples received into the company database, as well as METRC and/or MJ Freeway Prepares and weighs product samples; performs repetitive/routine testing activities to include accessioning and pipetting Cooperates with laboratory team members to facilitate the accurate dissemination of information across the organization May be responsible for other job-related duties as assigned SAMPLE TRANSPORT POSITION REQUIREMENTS: General Knowledge/Abilities Ability to fluently speak and read the English language along with understanding and following both written and verbal direction Ability to function independently, have personal integrity, flexibility and the ability to work effectively with fellow employees Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations in different units of measurement Ability to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios; demonstrated abilities in troubleshooting and problem-solving Basic knowledge of modern office practices and use of Microsoft Office Suite for Word and Excel Experience in driving tasks and meeting deadlines; accountable for the completion of assigned goals and objectives Ability to build relationships and strengthen partnerships with a focus on customer service Ability to perform physically demanding work such as moving and lifting equipment, standing for long periods of time, etc. Experience, Education, Licenses/Certifications Associate degree preferred Minimum of 2-years direct contact customer service experience is required Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate Must possess a valid NY driver's license and be able to maintain a clean driving record Previous experience working with and around cannabis products is preferred SAMPLE TRANSPORT SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Application Question(s): Are you at least 21 years of age?
