General Production Worker This role supports the production of culvert liners in a manufacturing environment. You will work on the production floor building liners, preparing materials, and operating equipment to ensure products meet quality and safety standards. The position is physically active and involves working on your feet and knees, lifting materials, and assisting with general production tasks throughout the shift.Responsibilities Build culvert liners according to established specifications and quality standards.Lay out and align materials on the ground to prepare them for processing.Feed materials through production machines and monitor the process for accuracy and consistency.Use common hand tools and follow standard manufacturing processes during production tasks.Measure materials accurately using a tape measure to ensure correct dimensions.Perform general labor and assembly tasks as needed to support production goals.Operate basic production and machine equipment safely after proper training.Lift, carry, load, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.Perform tasks that require bending, lifting, kneeling, pushing, and standing for most of the day.Maintain a clean and organized work area, including basic cleaning of workstations and equipment.Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working on the production floor.Assist with loading materials and finished products as required.Essential Skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder height on a regular basis.Ability to work on feet, knees, and in a standing position for most of the day.Experience or comfort with general labor and production work.Ability to use common hand tools safely and effectively.Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.Attention to detail when measuring, aligning materials, and monitoring machines.Willingness to perform repetitive physical tasks such as bending, lifting, kneeling, and pushing.Reliability in following safety procedures and production instructions.Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in general production, assembly, or machine operation.Experience in general labor, loading, and heavy lifting in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment.Ability to work effectively as part of a small team on shift.Why Work Here? In warmer months, fans and open doors help keep air circulating; there is no air conditioning in the facility. Each shift includes about 20 employees, creating a team-focused environment where you can get to know your coworkers. Weekday shifts typically run from 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with overtime available on Fridays. Weekend shifts typically run from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday through Sunday. Appropriate attire includes close-toed shoes, pants, and a t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, or hoodie. Long hair must be secured up with a hair tie while working to maintain safety around equipment.Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, SD.Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
