Guidewire PolicyCenter Technical LeadLocation: RemoteJob Type: Contract RoleJOB SUMMARYWe are seeking a highly skilled Guidewire PolicyCenter Technical Lead to drive the technical design, development, configuration, and integration of Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions. This role requires deep expertise in PolicyCenter architecture, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable and high-performing insurance solutions.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Lead end-to-end technical design and implementation of Guidewire PolicyCenter projects and enhancements• Architect and oversee configuration, customization, and extension of PolicyCenter using GOSU and Guidewire Studio• Define technical architecture, integration patterns, and data flow between PolicyCenter and external systems (BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, third-party systems)• Develop and review integrations using REST/SOAP web services and messaging frameworks• Perform code reviews and enforce Guidewire best practices and coding standards• Provide technical mentorship and leadership to development teams• Collaborate with business stakeholders and architects to convert functional requirements into technical design documents• Lead performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues• Participate in release planning, estimation, and Agile ceremonies• Ensure compliance with SDLC processes, quality standards, and documentation requirementsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field• 7–12 years of IT experience with at least 5+ years of hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter development• Strong expertise in PolicyCenter configuration, data model extensions, workflows, and product model• Proficiency in GOSU, Guidewire Studio, PCF (Page Configuration Files), and batch processes• Solid experience with Java/J2EE and web services (REST/SOAP)• Experience designing integrations with enterprise systems• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environmentsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Guidewire PolicyCenter Certification (Associate/Professional/Specialist)• Experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain• Exposure to BillingCenter and ClaimCenter implementations• Experience with cloud deployments (AWS/Azure)• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolsKEY SKILLS• Guidewire PolicyCenter architecture and configuration• GOSU scripting and PCF customization• Integration design and API development• Data modeling and performance tuning• Technical leadership and mentoring• Problem-solving and stakeholder communicationLEADERSHIP EXPECTATIONS• Act as the primary technical escalation point for PolicyCenter-related issues• Drive technical decision-making and ensure scalable solution design• Promote coding standards, reusability, and continuous improvement• Ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of project milestones
