Job Description Job Opportunity: EstimatorWe are seeking a detail-oriented professional with a passion for construction development and strategic buyout. In this role, you will be the primary link between project specifications and successful product acquisition, ensuring every bid is comprehensive, competitive, and high-quality.Role OverviewAs an Estimator, your primary duty is to evaluate project drawings and specifications to ensure the company has the data needed to successfully buy out products. You will aggressively manage subcontractor relationships, solicit bids, and analyze proposals to ensure all project costs align with the firm's best interests.Primary ResponsibilitiesBid Management: Solicit, receive, and analyze price proposals from subcontractors and vendors to ensure 100% of bids and budgets meet deadlines.Vendor Coordination: Initiate RFQs/RFPs and maintain frequent communication with vendors through site visits and plan walkthroughs.Technical Analysis: Perform comprehensive "bid day" analysis, enter data into Bid Spreads, and develop RFIs to ensure total subcontractor coverage.Value Engineering: Include value-engineering ideas on every bid and provide creative solutions to gain better pricing.Project Turnover: Successfully turn over bid documents and buyout information to Project Management in a timely manner.Inventory & Auditing: Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventory audits, and track as-builts for municipal sign-offs.Required Qualifications & SkillsExperience: Minimum of one (1) year of related experience and/or training.Education: College degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.Technical Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.Communication: Ability to communicate professionally (both orally and in writing) with management, co-workers, and outside vendors.Critical Thinking: Strong ability to analyze price, quality, and reliability of potential suppliers.Physical & Professional DemandsMobility: Regularly required to stand, walk, squat, climb stairs, and move about construction sites and rooftops.Physical Effort: Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.Environment: Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while remaining organized under pressure.Travel: Willingness to travel within the regional area as required.Availability: Consistent attendance and reliability, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.Why Join Our Team?We value energetic, ethical, and enthusiastic team players who are results-driven.
