Accounting Supervisor
Ideal candidate will be based in the Greater Columbus area with the ability to work a hybrid schedule coming into the Dublin, Ohio office one day a week. Also open to remote candidates in Eastern and Central time zones!What Accounting Contributes To Cardinal HealthFinance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.Accounting establishes and maintains accounting policies and controls, completes technical research, safeguards the organization's assets and ensures accuracy of accounting and financial records in accordance with accounting standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, coordinate, and own the preparation and review of quarter‑end SEC deliverables for the GMPD segment and OptiFreight business, including balance sheet flux analyses, SEC reporting packages, balance sheet vendor reserves, SAB 108 adjustments and unusual items, and disclosure checklists, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.Prepare and provide audit support for key SOX controls, partnering with Internal Audit and External Auditors to ensure all requests are addressed timely and controls are operating effectively.Accurately prepare and review month‑end journal entries, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.Review, enhance, and maintain key account reconciliations, ensuring reconciling items are appropriate, well‑documented, and resolved timely.Support ad hoc requests and special projects from the business, including analysis related to financial results, accounting treatment, or reporting requirements.Effectively communicate complex accounting matters to multiple business partners, including Finance, Operations, and Compliance.Supervise, coach, and review the work of offshore accounting staff, providing guidance, feedback, and development to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve reporting quality.Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close coordination, ensuring deadlines are met and issues are escalated appropriately.Qualifications3+ years of public and/or corporate accounting experience, preferredBachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferredWhat is expected of you and others at this levelCoordinates and supervises the daily activities of operations or business staffAdministers and exercises policies and proceduresEnsures employees operate within guidelinesDecisions have a direct impact to work unit operations and customersFrequently interacts with subordinates, customers, and peer groups at various management levelsInteractions normally involve information exchange and basic problem resolutionAnticipated salary range: $80,900-$115,500Bonus eligible: NoBenefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.Medical, dental and vision coveragePaid time off planHealth savings account (HSA)401k savings planAccess to wages before pay day with myFlexPayFlexible spending accounts (FSAs)Short- and long-term disability coverageWork-Life resourcesPaid parental leaveHealthy lifestyle programsApplication window anticipated to close: 06/01/2026 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.The salary range listed is an estimate.
