BYERS K9 SERVICES LLC BKS SECURITY Position: Unarmed Security Guard Position Status: Full Time, Part Time, Temporary, 1099 Position Rank: Entry Level Pay Type: Hourly Wage: TBD Company Requirements for Position- · High School diploma or equivalent · Minimum of 4 years of Military or Law Enforcement (Can not be combined) o 6 years of Security experience can be substituted · Must Meet Colorado POST Standards to be hired (Criminal Background) · No charges of animal abuse or animal cruelty on any level · Must have reliable access to a motor vehicle · Valid Driver’s License (If out of state, must be eligible for in State DL) · Must have reliable access to a cellphone · Pass physical fitness test standards required for Position Position Summary- A security guard's job is to protect a company's property, customers, and personnel from criminal activity. Their responsibilities include: Patrolling: Regularly patrolling the premises to ensure nothing is out of place Monitoring: Monitoring surveillance cameras and reviewing footage if necessary Security checks: Performing security checks on visitors, luggage, and designated areas Reporting: Reporting suspicious activity to local authorities and any criminal acts to law enforcement Responding: Responding to alarms and calls of security concern Maintaining records: Keeping daily logs of activities and any issues addressed, and a record of all visitors including the time of arrival and departure Maintaining safety: Ensuring all safety measures are in place to protect the establishment and patrons, and upholding the establishment's policies and safety protocols Other duties: Directing visitors to reception, answering phones, and responding to other inquiries at the security desk Subject to additional requirements not listed in this summary.
