Informatica DeveloperDuration: 12 Months (CTH)Location: Houston, TX (3 days in a week onsite)This is a W2 roleJob description:Proficient in Informatica Development as well as multiple design techniquesWorking proficiency in Informatica toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve softwareStrong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworksStrong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and securityProficiency in one or more general purpose programming languagesWorking proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of Software1. Build a target state data model2. Build effective controls within data & reporting process3. Convert complex business logic into effective SQL query4. Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting process5. Partner with Data IT teams to drive data development & enhancement through an agile process6. Understand complex data environment and be able to propose solutions to simplify/ optimize7. Drive migration of reporting/ data environment to next gen platform leveraging Big data tools8. Partner with Stateside team and India lead, to prioritize requirements and develop a schedule to meet the deadline9. Assist in defining and documenting new processes and training/ mentoring new hires on new processes.2. Strong Experience with Informatica ETL tool3. Good knowledge on Oracle SQL and PL/SQL4. Working knowledge on LINUX OS and shell scripting5. Working exposure on data integration and handling projects that involves processing huge volume of data6. Hands-on experience in preparing/integrating the datasets to match to the reporting requirements7. Expertise in working with agile projects and exposure to automated testing / dev ops kind of environments.8. Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred9. Working knowledge on Data Management/Data Quality Rules development will be a plus10. Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
