Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2026-2027 school year, serving a middle school caseload with approximately 30 students. The focus is on mild to moderate special education needs. The role involves co-teaching English alongside general education staff to support student learning effectively.Responsibilities:Manage a caseload of approximately 30 middle school students with mild to moderate special education needs.Collaborate with classroom teachers to co-teach English and provide appropriate accommodations and modifications.Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary.Work closely with parents, staff, and administration to promote a supportive learning environment.Provide direct instruction and support within a single site.Qualifications:Valid Special Education teaching certification.Experience working with middle school students in a special education setting.Ability to manage a caseload of mild to moderate needs.Skilled in co-teaching strategies and collaboration with general education teachers.Strong communication and organizational skills.Location:This position is based at a single-site all-girls charter school in Denver, Colorado.Schedule:Full-time, 40 hours per week, during the 2026-2027 school year.This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students academic and social growth in a focused educational environment.
