Primary Location: United States (US) - Illinois - MolineFunction: Operations (CA)Title: Maintenance Supervisor (2nd shift; 2pm-10:30pm) - 120003Onsite/Remote:Onsite PositionYour ResponsibilitiesAs a Maintenance Supervisor for John Deere Cylinder Works located in Moline, IL, you will: Lead Response to Critical Production and Facility Downtime: Directs maintenance teams to respond swiftly to equipment failures, minimizing production disruptions Coordinates cross-functional efforts to resolve technical issues and restore operations efficientlySupervise and Support Skilled Trades: Provides day-to-day direction and technical guidance to electricians, millwrights, and other maintenance personnel Ensures maintenance tasks are executed safely, effectively, and in alignment with operational prioritiesOversee Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Programs: Ensures timely execution of PM schedules to prevent unplanned downtime Drives TPM initiatives to improve equipment reliability and engage frontline teams in proactive maintenanceIdentify and Implement Equipment and Facility Improvement Projects: Leads efforts to enhance equipment uptime and facility reliability through targeted improvement initiatives Collaborates with engineering and production teams to prioritize and execute projectsEnsure Skilled Trades Meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) Objectives: Holds maintenance teams accountable for adhering to safety protocols and quality standards Monitors performance metrics to ensure timely task completion and cost-effective operations Promotes a culture of continuous improvement aligned with organizational goalsVISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this positionWhat Skills You Need2 or more years of experience leading and coaching maintenance teams.2 or more years of experience in a Manufacturing EnvironmentAbility to work 2nd shift hours (2pm-10:30pm)Ability and flexibility to work variable shifts based on production needs including weekends What Makes You StandoutStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Experience supervising skilled trades employees in a union environment.Experience with safety and ergonomics in a manufacturing environment.SAP PM module experienceEducationBachelor's degree in an Engineering/Technology or equivalent work experienceWhat You'll GetAt John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
