About the Role: We’re hiring a hybrid Business & Data Analyst to bridge the gap between strategy and analytics. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys solving business problems using data, and turning insights into action.If you’ve worked as either a Business Analyst or a Data Analyst and are open to growing into a hybrid role we strongly encourage you to apply. We’re looking for a sharp thinker, not a perfect resume.This is a full-time, mostly remote position. While you’ll work from home the majority of the time, we may ask you to come into the office occasionally (around once a month or every two months) for team collaboration or planning sessions.What You’ll Do:Serve as a strategic analytics partner to cross-functional teams including product, marketing, finance, sales, and operations engaging deeply to understand their goals, challenges, and data needs. Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to uncover pain points and align analytical efforts with business priorities.Convert ambiguous and complex business problems into well-defined, measurable analytics projects by applying critical thinking, domain knowledge, and data expertise. Drive clarity and focus across stakeholders on desired outcomes and success metrics.Lead deep-dive exploratory data analyses involving large, multi-dimensional datasets from various sources (CRM, web analytics, sales, finance, customer data) to detect patterns, outliers, and causal relationships that impact business performance. Utilize statistical techniques, segmentation, and cohort analyses to inform hypothesis generation and decision-making.Design, develop, and continuously refine advanced dashboards, automated reports, and visualization suites using industry-leading BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) that empower business leaders with real-time, self-service insights. Ensure reporting outputs are scalable, intuitive, and tailored to different audience needs and data literacy levels.Develop sophisticated predictive and prescriptive models, including forecasting, churn analysis, customer lifetime value (LTV), and scenario planning to guide resource allocation, sales strategies, and growth initiatives. Regularly validate and recalibrate models to ensure accuracy and relevance in changing business contexts.Translate complex analytical findings into compelling, narrative-driven presentations that influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Use storytelling, data visualization, and clear communication to bridge the gap between technical insights and business action.Drive data-centric process improvement initiatives by identifying operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or quality gaps. Propose, design, and implement automation solutions, workflow optimizations, and data governance frameworks to enhance productivity and decision speed.Collaborate closely with data engineering, IT, and governance teams to ensure data pipelines, warehouses, and ETL processes are robust, secure, and scalable. Advocate for data quality standards, compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and best practices in data management.Scout, evaluate, and pilot emerging analytics technologies, machine learning tools, and BI platforms to keep the company’s analytics capabilities cutting-edge. Lead adoption initiatives, train business users, and create documentation to promote a data-driven culture.Mentor junior analysts and act as a thought leader within the analytics team, sharing best practices, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement in analytical rigor and business impact. Participate in hiring and onboarding to build a strong analytics function.Own the end-to-end delivery of analytics projects, from requirement gathering and data exploration to insight generation, stakeholder communication, and impact measurement.
