This transformation is creating opportunities for professionals who want to shape how a leading academic health system operates behind the scenes, driving meaningful impact across every hospital, clinic, and patient experience.OverviewThe Supply Chain Senior Director of Value Analysis leads and advances the health system’s Value Analysis Program in collaboration with clinical and administrative leadership, overseeing the Value Analysis team and associated processes while establishing and enforcing standardized, data-driven approaches to proactively identify, prioritize, and implement cost optimization initiatives. This role applies deep expertise in value analysis methodologies and the supplier marketplace to drive material and service standardization, reduce variation, and support value-based care initiatives while maintaining or improving patient outcomes. The Senior Director builds and sustains strong cross-functional partnerships with clinical, finance, IT, and supply chain leaders to ensure aligned, evidence-based decision-making, and leads resource selection, price optimization, and utilization strategies while fostering strategic supplier relationships that support the health system’s operational and financial goals.Responsibilities· Leads and coordinates the documentation, tracking, and governance of value analysis processes related to new product initiatives, category management strategies, and system-wide standardization efforts.· Directs the evaluation of new and existing products, equipment, and services using evidence-based methodologies, prioritizing patient safety, clinical outcomes, and alignment with enterprise-wide quality objectives.· Designs, implements, and continuously improves standardized new product review and approval processes, identifying and eliminating waste, redundancy, and operational inefficiencies.· Oversees the planning, execution, and implementation of approved value analysis initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational priorities.· Partners with finance leadership to evaluate fiscal impact, validate savings opportunities, and ensure financial assumptions and outcomes are accurately assessed and achieved.· Develops and supports Value Analysis teams and project leaders by aligning resources, clarifying impacts to policies and practices, and ensuring readiness for successful initiative execution.· Establishes and coordinates communication and education strategies for suppliers and internal stakeholders to promote understanding, adoption, and adherence to value analysis decisions.· Collaborates with Supply Chain leadership and cross-functional partners to align policies, operational workflows, and logistical requirements in support of value analysis initiatives.· Monitors, analyzes, and reports on utilization, cost performance, and outcome metrics, identifying variances and driving corrective actions to achieve established objectives.· Facilitates stakeholder engagement, builds consensus, secures required approvals in accordance with established governance processes.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., MD, RN, PA, CNA, LPN/LVN), Masters (MBA) preferred.Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in healthcare, value analysis, materials management, or project/program management.Demonstrated knowledge of value analysis, materials management, product standardization, and healthcare supply chain practices, including GPOs, RFPs, and purchasing contracts.Working knowledge of clinical practices, patient safety initiatives, and the evaluation of products, equipment, and services in a healthcare environment.Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to healthcare materials management and purchasing activities.Ability to analyze, synthesize, and interpret data to support decision-making, including preparation and presentation of detailed reports and recommendations.Ability to coordinate vendor interactions, including product trials, evaluations, and presentations to support evidence-based decision-making.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse clinical, administrative, and supplier stakeholders.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, educate, and achieve consensus across all levels of the organization.Proficiency in utilizing electronic systems and software applications, with the ability to apply sound professional judgment in complex and dynamic environments.Join a Supply Chain team that keeps critical supplies, equipment, and patient care operations running smoothly.
