The Transport Dispatcher duties and responsibilities include overseeing the safety of our employees and drivers, the maintaining of our equipment, the satisfaction of our customers, and the integrity of our company policies.Main ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are not intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed, only a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position specific duties.Responsible for Tank Readings and Bobtail, Flatbed (Lube), and Transport Dispatch DailyResponsible for scheduling all Yard Truck maintenanceResponsible for approval of invoices and submission to Asst. Operations ManagerAfter hour and on call duties as scheduledResponsible for updating office binders and Truck binders with all current information: Insurance, Carb Certs, Hazmat Certs, etcMonitor driver logs and recommends for discipline of drivers for violations or safety concerns and provide feedback to driversEnsure that dispatch orders are the in system for that day, and that all information is accurateEnsure that all other orders in the system for delivery are based on geography, truck size and customer needEnsure drivers leave the yard with appropriate equipment that may be needed at customer locationsMaintain driver software for logs/compliance: Transport/Bobtail/Flatbed DriversMaintain driver software in all Yard TrucksSchedule Cargo Tank Certifications Transport/BobtailSchedule Driver loading classesPerform New Hire Safety training and Road TestsSchedule Pre-Employment Drug Screen and DOT Physical(SPCC) Spill Prevention, Control, Countermeasure Plan trainingConduct safety rides annually and after any incidentsRequirementsSkills and Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High School Diploma is required, Associate degree from an U.S. accredited Community College is preferred but not required Must have skills in accuracy and attention to detail, including timely follow-up in expediting exceptions Effectively and efficiently supervise others Computer literate preferably in Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, and Word) Superior data entry skills are a must, and experience Must be able to multi-task in fast-paced environment At least 2 years of relevant work experience Effective interpersonal and communications skills Great Customer Service skillsPay for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 DOEBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance401K PlanPaid Time Off
